Urbezo Garnacha 2008 Viñas Viejas is currently Wine of the Week on redwine.co.uk after being reviewed by writer Alexander Velky.

Alexander writes “…I can honestly say it’s the best wine I’ve had this year. Hard to put a finger on why, but this Spanish red was complex, inviting and rich, with an abundance of flavours balanced to perfection… …full of dark fruit tanginess and liquorice sweets, well-oaked but not tipping too far in the direction of any of the above: all in all, a flabbergasting wine, and a great advert for the Village Vine itself, the grape, and the region.”
